Jennifer Mercado, O.D.
Dr. Mercado became the owner of Vision One in 2021 and has been with the practice since 2007. She received her doctorate of optometry from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and attended Wittenberg University for her undergraduate degree. She is an experienced pediatric and adult optometrist and takes a special interest in contact lenses and treatment of ocular disease. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Kentucky Optometric Association, and is board certified by the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Mercado takes pride in leading a staff that makes quality patient care their number one priority.
Dr. Mercado grew up near Sidney, Ohio and currently lives in Taylor Mill. Outside of Vision One she enjoys True Crime TV shows, or sci fi like Doctor Who or Star Trek, reading mystery or sci-fi books or working on a crochet project. On long weekends, she enjoys visiting her family in Sidney and her ideal vacation is a relaxing trip to the beach.
